Although financial minds still keep shouting loudly about the crisis that still seems to be wreaking havoc on Western economies, the show must go on! That’s the Fashion show, conspicuous ladies and gents. The shoot-off for the Global Fashion Weeks is just around the corner, with the Menswear Fashion Week in Paris already being portrayed with much accalade and acclaim.

Crisis schmisis eh!

As always, the FT gives good food for thought for the understanding of what it is that is making consumers become infatuated with luxury goods over and over again, during troublesome times. One reason is offered through their recent run-through of S/S 2012 advertising campaigns from the world’s major fashion players, which includes Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Chanel.

As an added geeky fashion bonus, google the photographers’ bio and gawk over their prior – and life’s – work. Although these latest campaign shoots ode to the conspicuous, these artists reign the industry and deserve a following in their own right.

Luxurious regards
